In September 2007 we became an ASET Licensed Centre which enabled us to offer our programmes as ASET Awards. ASET was later acquired by the Awarding Body EDI PLC and in October 2008 we became certified as an Approved Training Centre to offer EDI Endorsed Qualifications. The Facilitator's Development Programme

This is an exceptional programme developed and delivered by one of The Performance Group Limited's associates - Nick Eve. Nick runs both the Facilitators Development Programme as well as the Post Graduate Programme. I attended the Facilitators Development Programme in 1996 and this workshop was truly life changing. Many clients ask about developing facilitation skills and therefore I would like to bring your attention to Nick's next open programme. The next Facilitators Development Programme takes place on Tuesday 16th to Friday 19th March 2010.

As I'm writing this news item, there's snow on the ground and the weather is bitter - so I hope you are all keeping warm! If you celebrate Christmas I hope that you are looking forward to your holidays and you've got all your Christmas shopping out of the way. If you don't celebrate Christmas, then I hope you have some time off work and are looking forward to a rest before the New Year starts!
In place of sending Christmas cards this year, we are again supporting Marie Curie Cancer Care and have made a donation of £100:00 to their Christmas appeal - this brings to £300:00 our donations for this year - not a fortune maybe, but everything helps. Please spare a thought,however you spend your Christmas, that there are some people making plans for their final Christmas this year. Marie Curie Nurses make it possible for terminally ill patients to spend their last days at home surrounded by the people they love and in familiar surroundings.

Train to Gain offer a Leadership and Management Grant Programme which offers up to £1000:00 to help develop your business leadership skills. The first £500 is available to Managing Directors, Owner Managers, and Company Directors and does not need to be matched. A further grant of up to £500, which must be matched funded, is available to any Senior Manager or the members of the Management Team. This money can be put towards one or a combination of training solutions to benefit you and your business which includes all of our EDI Endorsed Qualifications and many of our Human Performance Workshops. As part of the application process, a qualified and experienced Leadership & Management Adviser will provide you with a complimentary, tailored Personal Development Plan - to ensure you have the best solution for your needs. Michael - our 2009 Shell STEP Under-Graduate - wins best report at regional finals!

The Performance Group has been supporting Shell STEP since 2008 and our under-graduate from last year - Kulwinder - won the 2008 best Shell STEP report at the regional finals from over 30 placements. This year, Michael - our 2009 under-graduate - also won the 2009 best Shell Step report from an even larger field of placements. We're very proud of Michael for his achievement and for all his work during his placement. Of course, we're also very pleased to have had two winners for two consecutive years!

The Federation of Small Businesses asked for some good news stories in this current economic climate and as members of the Federation we were interviewed about our recent move to new commercial premises and the fact that we have recruited five new staff this year. We don't think we've got it cracked....or that we are recession proof....just that we are all working very hard and concentrating on giving our clients the very best service whilst connecting everything we are doing for them to the profitable development of their business. As many of you know, we started trading in early 2002 and due to the loyalty of our many clients the company has continued to grow well over the past 7&1/2 years. We have recently recruited further staff to assist the growth of the company and to continue to provide the very best service to our clients. But we have run out of office space!
