Positive Futures Programmes
Human Performance has been working with Positive Futures since 2003, supporting their project managers with DANOS Performer and for the past five years by providing all the management development training as part of their Workforce Development Programme. In this time we have covered Time Management; Disciplinary Skills, Leadership Techniques, Employee Motivation, Stakeholder Negotiation Skills as well as our best selling Certificate in Successful project Management Level 3 Qualification.
Positive Futures is a national sports and activities-based social inclusion programme for young people aged between 10 and 19, funded by the Home Office Drugs Strategy Directorate. It operates in 123 projects in some of the most deprived areas across England and Wales and uses sport and leisure activities to engage with disadvantaged and socially marginalised young people. Their aim is to have a positive influence on young people's lives by widening horizons and providing access to new opportunities within a culturally familiar environment. Positive Futures use sport and leisure activities as a catalyst to encourage project participation and to help steer young people towards education, training and employment.
Under the management of Crime Concern since April 2006 and now Catch22, the new charity formed by the merger of Rainer and Crime Concern, the Positive Futures programme has become the benchmark sports and activity-based social inclusion programme for young people.
