The Performance Group Limited is an Approved Training Centre with the National Awarding Body EDI PLC. We have held National Awarding Body Training Centre status since September 2007 - prior to being approved by EDI PLC we were licensed with the National Awarding Body ASET.

As an EDI Approved Training Centre this signifies that we have been approved to deliver EDI Endorsed Qualifications and that we have met strict quality standards for learning providers. This involved close scrutiny of our quality standards for staffing, resources and assessment as well as the quality processes of the organisation. The Performance Group had to meet exactly the same rigorous standards as those required of universities, colleges, schools and other large employers. As an EDI Approved Training Centre, The Performance Group, through its skills development brand Human Performance, is approved to deliver EDI Endorsed Qualifications to our clients and delegates.

With nearly 200 Awarding Bodies in the UK, EDI PLC are the third largest in the country. EDI is a National Awarding Body which is regulated by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and recognised by all the relevant UK Government departments and agencies.

Today, EDI PLC continues the strategy of growing market share within the vocational qualifications market, increasing the number of school customers and expanding the number of customers for the range of EDI support services. The key customer groups for growth are corporate customers, private training providers, colleges of further education and schools.

Clients who wish to invest in the development of their staff but find that the more formal and structured accredited qualifications are not always entirely appropriate because they are not tailored to the specific needs of the business can offer EDI Endorsed Qualifications through Human Performance. EDI ensures that our programmes meet certain standards in terms of structure, content, learning outcomes, assessment and quality assurance.

EDI certificates are nationally recognised and signifies that the holder has successfully completed a high quality programme of learning and has reached clearly specified outcomes at a defined level which are up-to-date, relevant and appropriate to the programme area studied.

Human Performance & EDI

Human Performance currently offer 29 different workshops all mapped to National Occupational Standards at Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4. Since September 2007 we have successfully submitted seven Level 3 programmes and four Level 2 programmes for accreditation as EDI Endorsed Qualifications. This enables delegates, who complete our certificated workshops and following the successful completion of an assessment and/or assignment, to receive the nationally recognised EDI Qualification in the programme area completed.

Our qualified staff have expertise in internal assessment and internal verification and are responsible for maintaining the quality standards of assessment for all EDI Qualifications. In addition EDI have appointed a Quality Auditor to conduct audit visits to the company to monitor our quality systems and ensure that they are administered consistently for EDI Qualifications.

This means that candidates achieving an EDI Qualification through Human Performance will add value to their continual professional development and be recognised by other employers as having met national standards of competence in the subject areas studied. EDI Qualifications can also be used by candidates for accreditation of prior learning to convert knowledge and experience into other awards such as NVQ's etc.
