James Turner is an exciting, creative and innovative facilitator of experiential learning, with 20 years of generalist HR experience working at all levels of an organisation up to Board Director of National Companies. A proven track record of working with multi-million pound HR development budgets and creatively delivering exceptional results, on-time and under budget!
As Managing Director of The Performance Group Limited - a generalist HR consultancy focusing on improving business performance through maximising an employer’s human performance – he has worked with National and International Companies in designing developmental; training; personnel and recruitment solutions aimed at enabling employees to deliver against corporate objectives and add real value to their organisations financial performance.
Between 1995 and 2002, James was Head of Human Resources for a large National Retailer with 1200 outlets and in excess of 12,000 employees. With responsibility for development, training, recruitment and personnel functions in a time of growth and acquisition of other businesses, James has great experience and success at managing change and empowering employees to quickly contribute to the organisations development and success.
Previously holding senior management positions within Mirror Group Newspapers and London Zoo and having come from a hands-on operational background within the services sector, James is able to deliver cost effective solutions that add real value.
Having worked for 2 years as a lecturer in adult further education, James has a large number of teaching and training qualifications; is a qualified advanced facilitator of experiential learning; a certified consultant advisor for the Investors in People Award and a qualified and experienced psychometric examiner/interpreter.
