April 20, 2009

We currently require a number of assessors to assess/mark our Level 3 assignments in the subject areas of Project Management and Supervisory Management & Leadership.

Whilst no experience of the subject matter being assessed/marked is required (as full induction, programme manuals and marking schedules are provided) applicants should be competent to mark Level 3 work to a high standard against the supplied marking schedule. Each assignment would take between 60 to 90 minutes to mark and assignments will be provided in batches of approximately 12 per programme with 4 to 5 weeks deadlines for completion. Following induction, assignments would be delivered to the assessor for marking at home and the work could be scheduled to suit within the 4 to 5 week deadline. Full support is offered to enable the right candidates to assess/mark to the highest standards.

The role would be ideal for currently employed or retired teachers/lecturers or similar who wanted to earn additional income that fitted in with another role or to supplement an existing income.

Please CONTACT James Turner by email outlining why your current or previous experience would make you suitable for this role providing a contact telephone number to enable an informal chat to explore your application in further detail.

The Performance Group nominates Marie Curie Cancer Care as it's charity for 2009

February 2, 2009

Marie Curie Cancer Care Logo

James Turner has been a supporter of Marie Curie Cancer care for the past 25 years. For Christmas 2008 we decided to make a donation to the charity instead of sending out Christmas Cards. In January 2009 we made a donation of £100.00 on behalf of all our clients who would have been sent a Christmas Card. We have now decided to continue to support Marie Curie throughout 2009.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is one of the UK’s largest charities. It was established in 1948 – the same year as the NHS – and marked its 60th anniversary in 2008.

Employing more than 2,700 nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals, they expect to provide care to around 27,000 terminally ill patients in the community and in their hospices this year, along with support for their families. Although they mainly care for people with cancer they also care for people with other life limiting illnesses. Their services are always free of charge to patients and their families, which means that in they will need to raise more than £115 million.

Marie Curie Nurses provide free nursing care to cancer patients and those with other terminal illnesses in their own homes. For more information for patients and carers or to get a Marie Curie Nurse visit our nursing pages or call FREEPHONE 0800 716 146.

The Facilitator's Development Programme

January 24, 2009

This is an exceptional programme developed and delivered by one of The Performance Group Limited's associates - Nick Eve. Nick runs both the Facilitators Development Programme as well as the Post Graduate Programme. I attended the Facilitators Development Programme in 1996 and this workshop was truly life changing. Many clients ask about developing facilitation skills and therefore I would like to bring your attention to Nick's next open programme. The next Facilitators Development Programme takes place on Tuesday 17th to Friday 20th March 2009.

I cannot recommend this programme highly enough. To find out further information about Elements and the above mentioned programme please click the link below.
